Big Read

Okay, since Kyasuriin and Aldehyde have both posted this list, I'm gonna have to jump on the book bandwagon and post this as well. :) I've read 26 out of 100...I think that's fairly decent, given that most of these aren't kids' books...

The Big Read reckons that the average adult has only read 6 of the top 100 books they’ve printed. Well let’s see.

1) Look at the list and bold those you have read.
2) Italicize those you intend to read.
3) Underline the books you LOVE.
4) Reprint this list in your own LJ so we can try and track down these people who’ve read 6 and force books upon them :)

Self-preservation

So it's about that time, kids. Time for me to retreat from the Internet in a last-ditch effort to preserve my non-spoilery existence.

I've been meaning to cut myself off way before now, but obviously I kind of use the Internet kind of a lot possibly, so it's been tricky. But I think enough is enough, 'cause Pottermania is running amok. Offline, too, but offline sources are easier to contain. Except for those wretched unlikely sources that catch you offguard, of course.

Anyway, I'm gone...my accounting exam results are out tomorrow morning, so one way or the other I'll be needing HP: DH to cheer me up (if I pass the exam, I have a practice exam on Sunday followed with training, etc. about a week after that; if I don't pass, then, well, I haven't passed, and I won't be able to rewrite this exam or write the next one until next year.) (That was an unnecessarily long-winded parenthetical addendum, but I'm sure you can all work it out with those large brains of yours.)

Ta! I'll talk to you all after The Book has been read.

ETA, 07/23/07, 2:27 AM: And now I'm done. Still need to process, of course, or I wouldn't be me. Feel free to discuss... in the meantime, I should look into getting some sleep or something. Work in 6 hours from now! W00t.
